Hyundai Elevator, First Time in Korea 10m per Second Ultra High-speed Elevator in Operation
- Launched at Busan International Finance Center, writing new history in Korean ultra high-speed elevators
- 100% domestic technology including traction machine, control device and special door with noise reduction function

Hyundai Elevator (CEO Han Sang-ho) broke the Korean record of ultra high-speed elevators. Hyundai Elevator recently installed and started the operation of elevators with speeds up to 10 meters per second for the first time in Korea in the Busan International Finance Center (BIFC), the financial hub in East Asia. The once fastest elevator installed in Korea has the speed of 9 meters per second.

BIFC is a 63-story building with a 3-story basement (289 meters above the ground, floor area of 197,869㎡). Hyundai Elevator installed a total of 32 elevators, including 2 units with speed of 10m per second, 3 units with speed of 9m, 8 units with speed of 8m, and 6 units with speed of 6m, and also 14 escalator units.
